Nut and Cream Cheese Balls

These small cheese balls make tasty little cocktail snacks. Or you may serve them with a green salad.

4 oz. cream cheese

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley

½ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

2 oz.

½ cup walnuts, chopped

In a small mixing bowl beat the cream cheese, cayenne, chives, parsley, salt and pepper together with a wooden spoon until the mixture is smooth. Stir in the chopped walnuts.

Place the bowl in the refrigerator to chill for 30 minutes.

Form the mixture into about 16 balls about 1-inch in diameter. Place the cheese balls on a serving dish and return them to the refrigerator to chill until you are ready to serve them.
