The words millc-feuille (mcel-feh-yeh) mean ‘a thousand leaves’ in French. In cookery, mille-feuille is a cake or cakes made up of thin, crisp layers of puff pastry filled with strawberry jam and whipped cream. The top layer is iced with a GLACE or FONDANT ICING.
