Jelly Crepes

A quick and easy to make dessert, Jelly Crepes are sure to please the whole family.


5 oz. sweet Crepe Batter

8 oz. bramble, redcurrant or orange jelly, warmed

2 oz. unsalted butter, melted

2 tablespoons sugar

Fry the crepes according to the instruc-tions in the basic recipe and keep them warm.

Preheat the oven to fairly hot 375 °F (Gas Mark 5, 190°C).

Lay the crepes out flat and spoon ABOUT 1 tablespoon of the jelly on to each one.

A very simple and easy-to-make dessert, Jelly Crepes can be filled voith orange, bramble or redcurrant jelly.

Fold the crepes in half, then fold them again in quarters.

Arrange them side by side in a large shallow ovenproof serving dish. Spoon the melted butter over the tops, then sprinkle on the sugar.

Place the dish in the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until the crepes are hot. Remove the dish from the oven and serve at once.
