Haut-Brion, or more correctly, Chateau Haut-Brion, is one of the great wines of BORDEAUX. The vineyard produces both red and white wine, although the red is produced more extensively and it is for its claret that Chateau Haut-Brion is most famous.

During the great Medoc classification of 1855, Chateau Haut-Brion was granted a premier cru along with three Medoc reds – despite the fact that it is a Graves wine and not a Medoc.
