Bananas in Sherry

A simple banana dessert, flavoured with honey and sherry, this is very easy to prepare.

4 tablespoons melted butter 6 bananas

juice of 1 lemon

3 tablespoons clear honey 3 fl. oz. sherry

Preheat the oven to fairly hot 400°F (Gas Mark 6, 200°C). Grease a baking dish with

1 tablespoon butter.

Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthways. Place them in the baking dish and pour the lemon juice over the top.

Mix the honey and sherry and remaining butter together and pour over the bananas. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the bananas are heated through. Baste twice during cooking. Serve hot.
