Agapanthus

Fleshy-rooted plants which bloom in August and September, the flowers being mostly blue and white.

Pot in March in a compost of loam, leaf-mould, rotten manure and sand. They like plenty of water in the summer, and occasional doses of weak liquid manure are of great assistance. Strong, healthy plants may be stood in the open during the summer, but in winter all plants should be protected from frost and very little water given. They thrive best in a moderate temperature.
