Welsh Onion

Apart from its name, the Welsh onion has no connection at all with Wales. It is a member of the ONION family and is similar to the LEEK and SPRING ONION in appearance and taste.

The Welsh onion is cultivated exten-sively in Japan and China, and can be used in any recipe requiring spring onions or leeks.
