A refreshing dish to serve as a light dessert, Ugli Cocktail is simple and quick to prepare.
2 ugli, cut in half, flesh removed and reserved
2 fl. oz. medium-sweet sherry 2 teaspoon mixed spice or ground allspice mixed with 1 tablespoon soft brown sugar 2 tangerines, peeled, white pith removed and segmented
Return the flesh to the ugli shells. Sprinkle over the sherry. Set aside to marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes.
Sprinkle over the spice and sugar mixture and arrange the tangerine segments over the top. Place the ugli halves in the refrigerator and chill for 30 minutes before serving.
