Turkey, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwiches

With hardly any effort at all, you can delight your guests with this informal snack! Turkey, Lettuce and Tomato Sandwiches will never fail to please! the American creation BLT {bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich to the uninitiated!)

8 large slices bread, cut –inch thick, toasted and kept warm

10 oz. cooked turkey, boned and thinly sliced

2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

4 tablespoons Cranberry Sauce

4 large round lettuce leaves, washed and shaken dry

4 medium-sized tomatoes, sliced

4 tablespoons mayonnaise


4 slices of the bread on a board. Divide the turkey slices among them and sprinkle over the salt and pepper. Spoon

1 tablespoon of cranberry sauce over each portion of turkey. Place one lettuce leaf on each portion, cover with a sliced tomato and spoon over the mayonnaise. Place the remaining bread slices on top. Using a large, sharp knife, cut the sandwiches, diagonally, in two. Place the sandwiches on individual serving plates and serve immediately.
