Tourte

Tourtc {toon) is the French word for a round pie with a double pastry crust. The pastry is usually PUFF PASTRY and the filling, which is traditionally piled up into a dome shape, is usually savoury. The filling can, however, be sweet, in which case a yeast pastry is used.
