The Bronx

This potent, refreshing cocktail is said to have originated in the borough of the Bronx in New York City. It is an ideal

pre-dinner drink on a warm, summer’s evening.

1 fl. oz. sweet vermouth fl. oz. dry vermouth 2 fl. oz. gin

2 tablespoons orange juice 1 piece orange rind

3 ice cubes

Put the sweet and dry vermouths, gin, orange juice, orange rind and the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker or covered

container. Cover and shake well. Remove the top and pour through a strainer into a cocktail glass.

rice or barley are added.
