Savoy Cabbage

The savoy is a variety of CABBAGE, and is in season from September to March. It is a hardy vegetable and is resistant to frost.

The savoy has a well-developed heart and crinkly leaves and is milder in flavour than the smooth-leaved winter cabbage.

When finely shredded, savoy cabbage makes an excellent base for winter salads.
