Some vegetables and preparations can help alleviate coughing fits:
– garlic
– watercress
– black radish syrup
Cough remedy recipe:
– 1 large radish
– crystallized brown sugar
Wash the radish without peeling. Cut into fine slices and place in a salad bowl. Cover with brown sugar, alternating layers of radish and layers of sugar. After two or three hours a fair amount of juice will have formed in the bowl. Filter the juice and store in the refrigerator. Take a teaspoon a few times a day.
Note: Eliminating cow’s milk and dairy products also helps alleviate the intensity of coughing fits.
