NUTRITIONAL CURE FOR DRY SKIN AND HAIR

If you have dry skin or hair, take more Vitamin A. This vitamin is available in two forms:

As retinol, found in:

– meat and fish liver

– the fat in dairy products

– egg yolk

As beta-carotene, in:

– carrots, spinach, tomatoes, lettuce and green leafy vegetables in general, asparagus

– melon, apricots, oranges

Dried fruit and vegetables contain more Vitamin A than fresh produce.

A Vitamin B8 deficiency can also cause dry skin. Good sources ofB8are:

– liver, kidney

– egg yolk

– chocolate, peanuts

– dried peas

– brewer’s yeast

– mushrooms

You can also try rubbing some jojoba or macadamia oil on affected areas of skin (or hair) at night before going to bed. a
