Nut and Chocolate Sauce is a rich accompaniment to sponge puddings or ice-cream.
8 FLUID OUNCES
6 oz. dark chocolate
2 tablespoons strong black coffee
2 tablespoons rum
2 oz. slivered almonds
In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate with the coffee and rum over low heat, stirring occasionally. When the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth remove the pan from the heat. Stir in the almonds and serve immediately.
