Nerium in the greenhouse

Greenhouse evergreen shrubs with fragrant flowers. Poisonous. Pot or plant in spring in a compost of three parta loam, one part leaf-mould, half-part sand, in a sunny position. They should be syringed daily, and occasionally they will need to he fumigated as they suffer from attacks of aphides. Summer temperature, 65 degrees. Winter temperature, 45 degrees.

Increase by cuttings of well-ripened shoots inserted in sandy soil in a temperature of 70 degrees, in spring or early summer. Cuttings may also be taken at the same time. These should be put into bottles of soft water and suspended in the greenhouse for a short time, or inserted in pots, singly, using peat, leaf-mould and sand.
