A simple dessert, Melon Balls in White Wine is cool and delicious. It makes an ideal finale to a rich and filling dinner.
1 large ripe honeydew melon, halved and seeded
4 fl. oz. sweet white wine mint leaves
Using a melon bailer, scoop out balls of the melon flesh. Place the balls in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour over the wine.
Place the bowl in the refrigerator for 1 hour to chill the melon thoroughly.
Transfer the balls to four individual wine glasses or glass bowls. Pour the liquid in the mixing bowl over the fruit.
Garnish with the mint leaves and serve.
