Mandarin Orange

A small, loose-skinned dessert orange which originated in China, the mandarin is a sweet and juicy fruit. Smaller than oranges, mandarins have a flat top and bottom and are of a brilliant orange colour. The skin is easily separated from the segments and the segments from each other, making the fruit easy to peel and eat.

Other varieties include the TANGERINE, slightly more red in colour, and the SATSUMA, a seedless variety.
