Lamb Patties, Greek-style is one of the simplest dishes for a ‘spur-of-the-moment’ meal. Serve with melba toast and a green vegetable.
2 lb. minced lamb
1 small onion, grated
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
5 oz. pine nuts or blanched almonds, roughly chopped
Preheat the grill to high.
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients together, mixing well with two forks or your hands, until the mixture is well blended. Form into 12 small patties.
Place the lamb patties on a rack in the grill pan and place them under the heat. Cook them for 8 minutes on each side or until the patties are cooked through. If the patties brown too quickly, reduce the heat to moderate after the first 2 minutes.
