Hermitage

Hermitage is one of the most important of the Rhone wines. Like its better-known neighbour Chatcauneuf-du-Pape, Her-mitage produces both red and white wine, although in Britain and in the United

States it is for its red that it is noted.

White Hermitage is slightly flinty to taste and deep golden in colour, while red Hermitage is dark red in colour. Both are full-bodied wines.
