Health Benefits of Rhubarb

– Water used to cook rhubarb makes an excellent rinse for light hair.

– Stems (leaves are not used) have a laxative effect and strengthen capillaries.

– Rhubarb contains a lot of oxalic acid, and is not recommended for persons suffering from gout, rheumatism, arthritis or epilepsy.

– Cook rhubarb into compote, mixed with apples, and sweetened to taste.
