Onions and cholesterol

There are two kinds of cholesterol:

– harmful LDL (low density) cholesterol, responsible for fatty

– beneficial HDL (high density) cholesterol, which has the opposite effect, preventing deposits of fat from accumulating and protecting arteries and the heart.
