HEALTH ASPECTS OF SPICY FOODS

Like all food groups, spicy foods have their place. They are generally eaten in hot climates where they raise the body temperature, making the external heat comparatively less intense.

Those in cooler climates who enjoy spicy foods should eat them only in moderation and preferably with a cooling food to compensate. Excess heat in the system, according to Eastern philosophies, will arise from excessively spiced foods and there are problems associated with inflammation.
