Hachoir

A two-handled curvcd-bladed knife, a hachoir (ash-wahr) is used for chopping meat, vegetables and herbs. The curved blade and widely spaced handles enable chopping to be done easily and efficiently by using a rocking motion.

The word comes from the French verb hacker, meaning ‘to chop’.
