FLAVONOID PROTECTORS

Vegetables rich in flavonoids (onions, apples, tea) help protect the heart and blood vessels. A study conducted in Finland showed that the risk of death from heart disease was reduced almost 50% in women who ate the most of these antioxidant foods (the reduction was less spectacular in men). Note that in addition to these foods, subjects drank little alcohol and ate a sufficient amount of vegetables every day.
