CURRIED KIDNEYS AND CARROTS

Beef kidney, 2 tablespoonfuls margarine, 1 cupful chopped onion, 2 sliced carrots, ½ cupful chopped celery, 1 clove, 3 tablespoonfuls ketchup, 3 tablespoonfuls curry powder, 1 table-spoonful salt, 1 ½ cupfuls water. (Enough for four persons.) Split and prepare kidney in small pieces. Fry onions and curry powder in margarine; add kidney pieces. Add rest of ingredients and simmer for forty minutes.

CURRIED VEAL 1 lb. Cooked veal, 2 chopped onions, 3 tablespoonfuls margarine, 1 tablespoonful curry powder, 1 tablespoonful lime juice. (Enough for six persons.)

Prepare onions in curry powder and margarine until tender. Add meat and flour, being careful to have no lumps. Cook slowly for twenty minutes in boiling water. Add lime juice and serve with rice or macaroni.
