CHILDRENS PROBLEMS: WARTS AND VERRUCAS

A wart is an overgrowth of skin triggered by a viral infection in the basal (growth) layer. A verruca is a wart found in the hardened tissues of the soles of the feet.

RECOMMENDATIONS

At the onset or arrival of a wart, increase your vitamin A and zinc intake via orange and green vegetables or through supplements (twice the recommended dosage).

Apply Thuja tincture, garlic or caster oil for several days underneath a bandage. If this is impractical, then apply the compounds frequently through the day. Ask a complementary medical practitioner if the wart is internal.

Liquid nitrogen may be applied by a doctor to freeze off the warts and preparations may be available over the counter at a pharmacy but should only be used if other treatments have failed because the chemical treatments damage the surrounding skin and lead to a higher incidence of recurrence.

Homeopathic remedies are beneficial and, depending on the type, should be selected from Thuja, Nitric acid, Dulcamara and Causticum.
