These plants are excellent for borders, etc. They will grow in any garden soil, but will thrive best in a rioh sandy loam. Divide the roots in early autumn or spring, or take cuttings of the non-flowering shoots and insert in sandy soil under a cold frame in spring or early summer.
C. cana has reddish flowers and fragrant leaves and attains a height of 4-ft., the flowers appearing in summer.
