Breadfruit

The fruit of a tall tree of the mulberry family, breadfruit is a staple food in the South Pacific and is cultivated

elsewhere in tropical areas. Breadfruit is large, greenish and spherical, with a rough surface and a white pulp. It

differs from other fruits in that its main nutritional constituent is starch and it is gathered and cooked before it is ripe.
