This is an interesting and unusual way to cook dark green winter cabbage. Serve with roast pork or beefburgers.
1 oz. butter
1 onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 cabbage, shredded
10 fl. oz. sour cream
1 teaspoon paprika
Preheat the oven to moderate 350°F (Gas Mark 4, 180°C).
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over moderate heat. Add the onion and garlic and saute until the onion is nearly soft.
Add the cabbage. Stir to mix well and cook for 4 minutes.
Put the cabbage mixture into a baking dish. Mix the sour cream and paprika together and pour over the cabbage. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve hot.
