Auricula (Primula Auricula)

These are very good border plants, and their flowers of yellow, red and purple are very effective. They can also be grown in the rock garden. Plant in June or July in well-drained, light loamy soil. They also like plenty of moisture.

Seeds may be sown in early spring in Bandy loam, setting the seeds about 1-in. Apart in pots or pans. Afterwards pot the seedlings singly. Alpine auriculas are best for ordinary outdoor culture. Show auriculas are generally grown under glass.
